Flush Mount Ceiling Lights

Flush mount ceiling lights have been around almost as long as people have been lighting there homes, yet they remain popular and relevant because the basic idea is a good one. To say that a light has a flush mount simply means the base of the light is flush against the ceiling when it is mounted. We have all seen these lights at one time or another, probably in a kitchen or bathroom, but perhaps in other areas of the house. there are many options available when it comes to the style and function of this type of light, so you will have no problem finding one that is perfectly suited to whatever room you are trying to light.

Perhaps the most popular type of flush mount ceiling light fixture is the simple globe. This is a very common light in bathrooms. In fact, other than lights mounted over the mirror in a bathroom, the globe type light is by far the most popular choice. The look of the globe has evolved over the years and now is available in a lot of different looks and shapes. The globe itself is normally clear or white, because this allows the most light to be cast from the fixture. The base of the fixture and the roundness of the globe itself are the only real elements that vary from one fixture to the next. The base can be stainless, chrome, brass, or just a basic color like white or brown.

Flush mount ceiling lighting is normally used in those places where you have to have a light, but where it is not practical to put a more elaborate fixture. These are locations like entryways, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchens. If you look around most homes you will probably find several different flush mount ceiling light fixtures. They don’t get the kind of attention that things like chandeliers or fancier lighting gets, but they have the functionality to fill an important place in lighting our homes and even our businesses.

Flush mount ceiling lighting is also available in more elaborate designs than just small globes or boxes. Flush mount ceiling fans with lights are available, and can be found in some very elaborate configurations. These fixtures have evolved to the point that you can even get lights, fans, or combinations of both that do not even require a light switch! Remote control flush mount ceiling lights are gaining in popularity because of their convenience and the increasingly elaborate styles that have become available.
